How we look after your information

What we collect through this website, why we collect it and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

This website belongs to Heineke Builders Ltd, a building company based in Bombay, South Auckland. When this policy says “we” or “us”, it means Heineke Builders Ltd.

We follow the Privacy Act 2020. This policy explains how we handle personal information that you give us through this website.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us. When you use the estimate form or the quick question form, we ask for:

your name, phone number and email address
where you are building, such as your suburb or town
what you are planning, the stage of your project and anything else you tell us about it
plans, drawings or photos, if you decide to upload them
how you heard about us, if you tell us

With each form we also record the date and time it was sent and the page it was sent from. If you sign up for our news in the footer, we keep your email address.

Why we collect it

We use your details to reply to you, to talk through your project, to prepare an estimate or quote and, if we go ahead, to run your build. We use your email address for our news only if you signed up for it.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for anything you would not expect.

Where it is stored

Each form is sent by email to [email protected]. A copy, including any files you upload, is also stored in our website on our hosting provider’s servers, so nothing gets lost if an email goes astray. Our website is hosted by Hostinger and its servers may be outside New Zealand. We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe, and only our team can see it.

We may share project details with people who help us price or deliver your build, such as an architect, engineer or subcontractor, but only when it is needed for your project.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only for as long as we need it to reply to you and to keep a record of the work we have quoted on or built. If you would like us to delete your details sooner, just ask.

Cookies

This website uses only the cookies it needs to work and stay secure. We do not use analytics, tracking or advertising cookies. If that ever changes, we will update this policy.

Your right to see and correct your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. You can also ask us to delete it or to take you off our news list. Email [email protected] or call us and we will help.
