Clear decisions made early keep your timeline and budget on track.
Here is how a project with us runs.
Tell us what you have in mind. It is never too early to bring a builder in.
We work with your architect, spot costly design issues and tell you if you need building consent.
For your peace of mind, we explain the fixed price and charge up options, and any changes are priced before the work starts.
We send regular project management updates, so you know how your build and schedule are going every step of the way.
We are known for satisfied customers, a quality first approach and a builder who still answers the phone. After handover you have a 12 month defects notification period and an independent Halo 10 year guarantee.
Two things protect your home once the work is finished.
As NZ Certified Builders members we can offer one of the most complete 10 year guarantees on the market. It is run independently, and it moves to the new owner if you sell within 10 years.
For 12 months after handover you can tell us about any defects in the work, and we come back to put them right.
Something else on your mind? Book a 15 minute call and ask us directly.
That depends on you. Some clients come with plans already drawn. Others like a builder’s input from the start, because an experienced builder can spot high costs or tricky details in a design early.
Most building work needs a consent. We can tell you whether your project needs one or could be exempt.
You do for restricted building work. That is any work that involves or affects:
As NZ Certified Builders members we can offer the Halo 10 year residential guarantee, one of the most complete 10 year guarantees on the market. It is run independently of NZCB, so your home stays covered even in the unlikely event that something happens to us or to NZCB. If you sell within 10 years, the guarantee moves to the new owner. The premium is included in most of our quotes, except small or commercial jobs, and we apply for it before work starts.
With charge up you pay for the actual time and materials, but the final price is unknown and can end up over budget. A fixed price gives you more certainty from the start. It works best for new builds and projects with a clear brief, where materials and fittings are already chosen. Even then, some items cannot be priced until work begins, like hidden rot in a wall during a renovation. We mark those clearly in the quote.
Keeping to a budget is a team effort. A clear brief from you and council consented plans from your architect let us price exactly what you want up front. Decisions made early mean fewer last minute changes and fewer delays getting trades or materials. If the scope changes, we price the change before we start on it, so you know what it costs.
Tell us about your project and we will come back with an estimate, or give Chris or Catherine a call.
